Management Team

Chairman Al Kapoor has broad management experience with Fortune 500 companies in diverse areas including R&D, manufacturing, purchasing, sales and strategic planning. He has an MBA from Harvard plus MS and BS degrees in engineering.

V.P. and General Manager Richard Arndt is particularly qualified to lead Syntec Optics because of his exceptional blend of practical and theoretical expertise in optical tooling, optics molding and the application needs of many industries. He has over 25 years of precision manufacturing, design for manufacturing, and sales experience, the last eight with Syntec. Rick co-founded Rochester Tool and Mold, a successful mold manufacturing firm subsequently acquired by Syntec, and holds a patent as co-developer of Syntec’s HRDT technology.

VP of Manufacturing, Lori Steffenilla directs and oversees all aspects of Syntec’s precision optical injection molding and assembly production facility, including the custom project management teams. Degreed in finance and management, she has a proven track record of 15 years in operations management, eight of them in precision optics. At Syntec, Lori initiated and manages a highly effective Supply Chain Management System, a critical element of Syntec’s recognized success in innovative solutions.
