Job Title: Diamond Turning Technician Description: Responsible for the operation of generating precision optical surfaces using a Moore Nanoform 250 U Diamond Turning machine. Duties will include but not be limited to technical guidance and overall work allocation of prototype optics, optical mold inserts, machine set-up, and assurance that a high quality product is manufactured; implementation of corrective action procedures to assure efficient utilization of equipment, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices; operation of contact profilometer and inferometers; and troubleshooting minor mechanical failures in production equipment. Requirements: • Minimum two years experience operating Moore or Precitech Diamond Turning equipment • CNC programming background • Experience with CAD design software ProE or Solidworks • AS in Math or Engineering discipline a plus • Ability to work in and promote a team environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Professional ethics, tact, and etiquette to deal with customers/internal staff |
Job Title: Optical Design Engineer Description: Develop optical designs with manufacturability in mind, promote process improvement on new and existing projects, address process and material related issues, transition product concepts into production, perform failure mode analysis and corrective action, design tooling and test fixtures, develop process documentation and assembly training, work closely with customers, suppliers, and production supervisors to ensure product quality and performance. Requirements: • BS or MS in Optics, Physics, Mech. Eng, Mfg. Job Title: Program Manager Description: Provide engineering support to internal and external customers to ensure that projects meet design, production, and budget expectations. Develop quotations for tooling, high precision optical and opaque molded components, and optical assemblies. Manage specific projects from concept and design to production. Analyze customer requirements and participate in process design troubleshooting, prepare cost analysis of projects, and forecast delivery times. Monitor projects in process and communicate directly with customer on status and changes. Report project progress updates, issues, and solution approaches to management on a regular basis. Prepare quality plans and work instructions for all new projects. Provide engineering support to internal departments such as: molding production, secondary assembly, quality control, mold and tool making. Review new projects to determine effectiveness of design regarding moldability, tool concept, assembly, and materials. Provide design concept and assist in development of tooling. Research new materials, processes, and procedures necessary to further project improvement. Requirements: • BS or MS in Optics, Physics, Mech. Eng, Mfg. Job Title: Production Manager Description: Responsible for technical guidance and overall work allocation of Operators, Set-up Technicians, and Material Handlers to assure quality product is manufactured and delivered to customers. Direct activities of Production department with respect to volume, cost, quality, and meeting delivery dates; motivate employees to perform at maximum efficiency; establish/communicate responsibilities and goals of the department and individual employees; approve production schedule and confer with Production Scheduler to ensure that projects meet delivery requirements and that finished goods inventories are maintained; verify injection molding machines are operating at capacity; assist in troubleshooting machines/set-ups/tooling; perform basic maintenance on machines and molds/tools; inspect product as needed to assure quality; provide engineering support regarding design changes, materials specified, and material processing issues; communicate with Customer Service regarding scheduling and changes in order quantities and due dates; and implement corrective action procedures to assure efficient utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices. Requirements: • Five years of directly related experience, with at least two years experience in a management capacity • Ability to work and promote a team environment • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical failures in production equipment • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to facilitate good working relationships among coworkers • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical failures in production equipment • Professional ethics, tact and etiquette to deal with customers/internal staff |
Job Title: Quality Manager Description: Responsible for developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve quality and reliability levels. Direct activities and provide guidance to quality department personnel; develop and implement a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards; revise and update the quality control manual; meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality issues; monitor, maintain, or develop performance reporting systems relative to the effectiveness of inspection operations and initiate necessary action based upon results; interact with Production Manager and Assembly Manager to support, schedule, and implement improvement objectives in the manufacturing process; recommend and implement corrective action procedures to assure improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices in all departments; prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and internal staff; provide guidance and training to QA Inspectors as needed; assist in preparing facility for ISO Registration including: ISO education, procedure writing, and auditing; perform QA Inspector duties as needed. Requirements: • Minimum AS degree in Quality Management, QA Systems, Statistics, and/or equivalent experience in the Quality Assurance field with three to five years management experience • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and implementation • Minimum two years experience in the close tolerance plastics industry • Experience with optics and optical metrology equipment preferred • Formal education in courses related to mathematics, statistics and industrial practices are essential • Strong PC skills • Ability to work in and promote a team environment in department • Excellent written and oral communication skills |
